Who we are
Velkit builds websites for small businesses in Australia. You can contact us about privacy at hello@velkitweb.com.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we receive:
- Your contact details: name and email address.
- Optional details: business name and current website, if you provide them.
- Your project details: website type, page count, features, budget preference, timeframe and description.
- Campaign source: if you arrived from a link containing campaign tags (such as utm_source), those tags and the page you landed on. This tells us which of our posts or listings brought you here. It doesn't identify you.
Your IP address is used briefly by our hosting provider to block spam and limit repeated submissions. We don't store it with your enquiry.
We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, passwords, payment card numbers or government ID through the form.
How we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and, if you become a customer, deliver the work you've agreed to. We won't add you to a mailing list or send marketing without asking first.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of providers to run this site. They process information on our behalf and may store it outside Australia, including in the United States.
- Cloudflare: hosts the website, protects it from attacks, and runs the Turnstile spam check on the enquiry form.
- Resend: delivers your enquiry to our inbox as an email.
- Google (Gmail): hosts our email inbox, where your enquiry is stored.
We don't use analytics services, advertising pixels or social media trackers on this website.
Cookies and browser storage
This site doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner. It does keep a few small items in your own browser:
- Theme choice (light or dark), kept in your browser's local storage until you clear it.
- An unsent form draft, your enquiry reference and any campaign tags, kept in session storage. These are deleted when you close the tab.
None of this is sent anywhere except the form details you choose to submit. Cloudflare's Turnstile check may use its own technical signals to tell people from bots; Cloudflare describes this in its own privacy policy.
We don't sell data
We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't share it with data brokers or advertisers.
How long we keep it
If you don't go ahead with a project, we delete your enquiry within 24 months. If you become a customer, we keep the records we need to run your service and meet tax obligations, then delete them.
Access, correction and deletion
Email hello@velkitweb.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll try to fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
